Mission

Our mission is to help students from Pleasantville, Westchester County New York and their educators to travel to Sete, France, to stay with French families and participate in the local school system. Students are also required to present their science projects at a conference in French managed by our corresponding organization Sete Expo Sciences. Conversely, we help our colleagues from France arrange visits of their pupils to our region.

We solicit funds from our communities and supporting companies as a non-profit organization and help arrange the associated logistics of travel and accommodation.

Purpose

The purpose of this organization is to enable students to understand the differences between the scientific approaches, the cultures, the educational methodology of their visiting countries and to build a lasting empathy and understanding of the world’s education and practice of science and technology.

Students and their families build lasting memories, friendships, and relationships that begin with their first visit to one another’s countries and continue to grow through shared experiences and future connections.
